Verner Panton designed the Fun range for the Verpan brand in 1964. This range includes the incredibly beautiful Fun 8DM, which consists of a large cluster of mother-of-pearl shell discs. The discs are held together by small stainless steel rings which are attached to a white lacquered MDF ceiling cap. Fun 8M produces a very beautiful and diffuse light and the discs also contribute a melodic sound in the room, similar to a wind chime.
