Touch Bench is from the Touch Collection and comes with a back rest, designed by Studioilse for Zanat. A Bosnian brand with a focus on wooden craftsmanship and traditional carvings. For the Touch Collection, Studioilse has combined rustic woodwork with a modern elegance. The bench consists of a rectangular seat with back rest resting on a simple base with an x-shaped profile. Handcrafted in solid wood, it is available in a variety of wood types and finishes. The bench can also be ordered without a back rest. The seat has a textured surface that is carved by hand and gives the Touch range its character.
The bench is available in two heights and can be used for many different purposes, as an extra relief surface or seating in a hall, kitchen or living room.
The Touch Collection is created with a special technique where the surface of the wood is carved freehand, giving it a rough texture, designed to appeal to the impulse of wanting to touch the furniture. The design is intended to be an analogous way of engaging with the environment in our increasingly digital age. Because of the craftsmanship, each Touch Collection piece will be one-of-a-kind.
