The 006 AA Bench is designed by Kwangho Lee for the Finnish brand Vaarnii and is characterized by a whole pine log running through the center of the bench. The bench is constructed by stacking parts of pine on top of each other as in a timber yard, which puts all the focus on the material itself. Despite this seemingly simple construction, it still requires considerable carpentry expertise to join them together. Kwangho Lee has always been interested in exploring material connections and here he has developed this interest in a design that manages to be both direct and delicate and humble.
