ESU is a freestanding multifunctional bookcase designed in 1949 by Charles and Ray Eames. The frame is made of black painted metal. The shelves are made of maple plywood with birch veneer tops. The legs are individually adjustable. The bookcase is equipped with drawers and sliding doors and offers plenty of practical storage space as well as places to stow items out of sight. The bookshelf is practical and timeless and a modern element in the home, despite being designed almost 70 years ago.
