Since 1999, Swede Magnus Elebäck and Brit Chris Martin have been working together as consultants in the furniture industry. The designers worked for several large companies in the industry but decided, after ten years as consultants, to launch their own brand based on their shared vision of function and design.
They want to create a furniture company that focuses on the interplay between object and context, rather than PR-driven product strategies. To realize their vision, Magnus Elebäck and Chris Martin control the entire production chain, from manufacturing and production to marketing. The company is called Massproductions, which comes from the beauty of efficient, high-quality, and industrial production. Their design is based on the clean, functional elegance of modernism, whose products are multifunctional and highly adaptable. By working closely with engineers and machine operators in their production facilities, Massproductions ensures that their vision is part of every detail.

Beauty is something that comes naturally. For designer Chris Martin, form is a by-product of function, materials, and production processes. He says Massproductions makes real products for the real world, developed at their own pace. Massproductions’ striving for good quality, function, and what Chris Martin calls “obvious design” has won them great acclaim. Massproductions made its debut with the Tio Chair, which received good reviews and several awards. Based on the success of the Tio Chair, Massproductions has continued to create award-winning furniture. Among their most popular pieces are the Dandy sofa, the Crown Easy Chair, and the Rose Chair.
