Sferico is a series of drinking glasses from 1968, created by the Italian master Joe Colombo. The series is produced today by Danish Karakter and consists of several drinking glasses in assorted sizes and shapes, including Sferico No. 5. The glasses are handcrafted from mouth-blown transparent glass and are characterized by their geometric shapes. Joe Colombo constantly strived to create democratic and functional designs, and the Sferico series is proof of this. Sferico No. 5 and the other glasses in the series can be used for a variety of drinks such as water, cocktails, whisky, wine, beer, juice, champagne or why not as a bowl for dessert? Sferico No. 5 and the other glasses in the series are dishwasher safe.

During his lifetime, Joe Colombo designed many drinking glasses, something that was close to his heart as drinking and smoking were a passion. Sadly, this contributed to his premature death at only 41 years of age. Karakter is delighted to offer Sferico No. 5 and the other glasses in the series once again, and with this collection hopes that Colombo would be proud to see his creations live on to this day, half a century after his passing.
