Pyramid Bench 12 is a bench originally designed by Wim Rietveld in the 1950s. Now the Danish brand HAY, together with Ahrend, has re-released the steel collection. The series is characterized by its lightness and strength. Pyramid Bench 12 is made from a rectangular slab of solid oak that can be chosen with a clear lacquered, matte lacquered, oiled or smoked finish. The base is made of steel and comes in Black or Beige. The bench is functional in its design as it can also be used as a seating solution in corporate environments, or why not as a low side table? The bench is also available in the Pyramid Bench 11 version.
The collection was released in the 1950s and was seen as a great success at the time due to the innovative use of sheet steel which created new uses for organically shaped products. The design is durable and simplified and demonstrates functional excellence and esthetic ease, which has been demonstrated in real-world environments over generations.
