Swoon Ottoman is a footstool designed in 2018 by Space Copenhagen for the Danish Fredericia Furniture. The stool is part of the Swoon series and is meant to be used together with the chairs in the series. Just like the chairs and armchairs in the series, this footstool has an organic design. Upholstered and padded, the Swoon Ottoman adds comfort to the already comfortable Swoon chairs. The stool’s legs are made of wood in either oak or walnut. If you choose the oak version, you can also have them black lacquered, varnished, smoked, or oiled.
The Swoon series was originally designed for the 11 Howard Hotel in New York. The furniture series’ purpose was to create a hybrid between a lounge chair and an armchair. Although the furniture was designed for a hotel, the Swoon Ottoman and the other pieces in the series are just as at home in the home as they are in a hotel.
