In 1980, designer Gae Aulenti and award-winning architect Piero Castiglioni designed the Parola series of lamps for FontanaArte. The Parola ceiling lamp has a shade made of mouth-blown glass and is available in white and amber colors. The ceiling lamp can either be hung separately or together several pieces for a stronger light or more personal presentation. Because of the spherical shape and material of the shade, the lamp gives a soft light that can be directed to a certain extent by positioning and rotation.
