Original 1227 Desk Lamp Fixed Base is a variant of the classic desk lamp Original 1227 from Anglepoise. The desk lamp was introduced in 1935 and is part of the Original 1227 collection, which was designed by George Carwardine. The lamp is produced in England with high quality materials and is both flexible and functional thanks to the mechanical springs invented by George Carwardine in 1931. The lamp's adjustable arm and shade are made of aluminum and the fixed base that is fixed to the table top is made of cast iron coated with steel. All versions have details in chrome and a light source is included as its weight is critical for the lamp's balance.
Original 1227 desk lamp with mounted base works well in an office environment and can be advantageously combined with any other lamp from the George Carwardine lamp collection which includes table, floor, wall and pendant lamps. This variant is also available as a smaller variant, Original 1227 Mini.
