The elegant floor lamp Angel Wing A805 was designed by Alvar Aalto in 1954 for the Finnish furniture manufacturer Artek. A805 is a timeless icon in functionalist furniture design and is also called the "angel's wing" due to the luminaire's special appearance in profile. When Alvar Aalto was a child, he was constantly enchanted by filtered and subdued light, which he later explained "like the light streaming in through grandmother's lace curtains on a hot summer's day". This resulted in his lighting design getting the same feeling in the form of the light, which is no exception for the beautiful and eye-catching Angel Wing lamp.

The Angel Wing A805 has a beautiful and unique hand-riveted, white-lacquered shade made of steel slats and a stand covered in black leather. Between the screen and the leather upholstery, an elegant detail is also visible in the form of an upper part that can be obtained in either polished brass or nickel-plated brass.
