In 1980, designer Gae Aulenti and award-winning architect Piero Castiglioni designed the Parola series of lamps for FontanaArte. Parola Parolina has a shade made of amber glass available in white and amber colors, a base in natural glass and a base in natural, beveled crystal. This combination of materials gives Parola an exclusive look. Because of the spherical shape of the shade and the material, the lamp gives a soft light, which can be directed to some extent by positioning and rotation. The lightbulb can be purchased separately.
