87.14 is a pendant light from Bocci designed by Omer Arbel in 2017. The lamp has 14 pendants meant to be suspended in a random configuration; the height is adjustable to a maximum of 300 cm. The pendulum is approximately 30-50 cm in height and 11,5-24 cm in width and is made by hand, making each one is unique in proportion, size, and shape. A malleable mass of glass is stretched and folded over itself several times before cooling down. Air trapped inside the glass gives the piece an optical quality resembling marbles, and at one end of the loop is a lightbulbbulb that emits a soft, pleasant light. The 87.14 is easily mounted with a jack connector that plugs into the ceiling frame. The frame is made of white lacquered metal and can be rectangular or round. The cables come standard with a maximum length of 300 cm and are pre-adjusted during production, so they cannot be adjusted afterwards.
