21.1 is a pendant light from Bocci designed by Omer Arbel in 2007. The lamp has a pendant with an adjustable height up to 300 cm. Inspired by the scattered arrangement of barnacles on a sea cliff, the shade is made of thin porcelain wrapped around a borosilicate glass in a trumpet shape. A strong contrast is created between the organic soft light passing through the porcelain and the sharp light passing through the glass. Each shade measures approximately 13 cm in diameter and is made by hand, making each one unique in proportion, size, and shape. The 21.1 is suspended by a flat metal cable from a round brushed nickel ceiling mount.
