The Eames RE Plastic Chair DSR is a dining chair designed in 1950 by Charles and Ray Eames. The plastic seat has been mounted on the so-called base of the Eiffel Tower, a steel structure with four legs. Choose between several colors of seat and legs in chrome or black.
The pair of Eames multifunctional plastic chairs were first introduced in the "Low Cost Furniture Design" design competition held at the Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1950. Charles and Ray presented organically designed plastic chair chairs that were combined with different bases, giving this piece of furniture a variety of functions and purpose. Today, the legendary Eames RE Plastic Chairs are produced by Vitra, which has revised the models' design and materials for even higher seating comfort and quality.
Since 2024, the shells of all Eames Plastic Chairs are made from one hundred percent recycled plastic. The recycled plastic originates from the collection of plastic packaging from German households, in the "Yellow Bag" collection program, and is of premium quality. Using recycled raw material instead of petroleum-based primary plastic means that climate-damaging emissions are significantly reduced, just like primary energy consumption. The shell is of course recyclable at the end of its product life.

Eames - classic and recycled! Fiberglass only 10% and completely recyclable, that's a plus. Poppy RED is a charming color! Great, forever.
