Hans J. Wegner designed the CH88 chair in 1955 for Carl Hansen Søn but until the 100th anniversary of the collaboration with Wegner it had only been a prototype desk. The chair is now produced in several versions and has become a modern favorite. The seat is made of laminated wood, the back of solid wood in oak with a stainless steel frame. CH88T is also available with a black powder-coated base.
