The modern design classic CH24, also known as The Wishbone Chair, is one of Hans J. Wegner's first and most acclaimed works for Carl Hansen & Søn. CH24 is available in a variety of wood types and finishes. A cushion can be added for extra comfort.
The chair has been in continuous production since 1950. With its characteristic Y-shaped back, the chair is a stylish and tasteful choice around the dining table. Despite its unassuming appearance, manufacturing the chair is a lengthy process. The hand-woven seat alone is made from over 120 meters of waxed paper cord, carefully laced.
The Y-chair is a favorite and a chair we particularly appreciate at Nordiska Galleriet, an opinion we share with our customers. Wegner manages to combine intricate detailing and skillful craftsmanship with Scandinavian clean lines, making the chair a frequently used design icon.
