Tobi-Ishi is a beautiful dining table from Italian B&B Italia designed by Edward Barber and Jay Osgerby in 2014. The table becomes as much a beautiful sculpture as a functional dining table in the home. It consists of three large blocks which together form a harmonious whole. The duo behind Tobi-Ishi are big fans of Japanese culture and art, the design is clearly inspired by Zen. Both the name of the table and the concept behind it come from the round stones used for ornaments in classic Zen gardens, where the stones are precisely called Tobi-Ishi.
