The Up 50 UP 5_6 series is a light shaped like a woman's body and designed by Gaetano Pesce for B&B Italia. According to Pesce, the round footstool, which resembles a shackle, symbolises a woman's captivity and he pointed out that women have always been involuntarily captive to themselves. The Up 50 UP 5_6 series is made of flexible, cold-pressed Bayfit foam and comes fully finished in navy blue. The bottom is made of 100% jute fabric. The foot has also been nicknamed Big Mama.
