In 2001, the founder of the Italian lighting company Artemides, Ernesto Gismondi, designed the floor lamp Metacolor, which creates a wide range of colorful atmospheres through RGB sources. It is made of methacrylate and steel. Metacolor includes a remote control that can be used to control the ten standard colors, create and memorize ten more and that you can use it to control the brightness. At the base of the floor lamp sits a display that shows the selected atmosphere and the bottom of the lamp is illuminated by a blue light that makes Metacolor even more eye-catching in any room. Metacolor measures 205 cm in height but is nevertheless very flexible due to its shape and diameter of 15 cm.
