Akari 14A was designed in 1951 by Isamu Noguchi for the Vitra brand. The lamp is part of the series Akari Light Sculptures, which is a group of lamps made of Shoji paper. The light from the lamps is filtered through the magical shoji paper with the aim of giving a feeling of the natural and warm light of the sun, which fills our rooms at night when it is at its darkest.
