Neil Poulton designed the Rea wall lamp for Italian Artemide in 2013 with dreams of Star Trek, as he thought it resembled the starship Enterprise. Poulton has also said that Rea is like a reflection and can be likened to a bendable and slightly split amoeba. The wall lamp comes in two sizes, 12cm and 17cm and both have a perpendicular shape with one part acting as a wall support and the other having a built-in LED bulb that provides a diffused and indirect light upwards. Rea is made entirely of aluminum.
