The Golden Chair was designed by Nika Zupanc for Moooi in 2013. The chair, like much of Zupanc's designs, is filled with a sense of humor and opulence. With The Golden Chair, Zupanc has transformed the school chair that is perhaps the most humble and obvious piece of seating into a luxurious throne for a prince or princess. The base is made of tubular steel coated in shiny gold chrome and the seat is upholstered in synthetic leather with a high-gloss gold finish. With its retro-inspired style, The Golden Chair is now also available in all-black.
