Smoke Chandelier was designed by Maarten Baas for Moooi in 2002. The chandelier is basically a classic design but has been given an artistic twist. The luminaire is made of wood and has beautifully detailed, carved patterns. The entire chandelier was then fired until it was almost completely charred and treated with epoxy to preserve the surface of the fired wood. The process makes each piece of Smoke unique. The chandelier holds three light sources and comes with a black cord. Maarten Baas has also created a chair in the same style for Moooi.
