Magister is an iconic sofa from Flexform, designed in 1982 by Antonio Citterio. The sofa has a stylish, thin shell made of wood and satin-brushed metal upholstered with polyurethane foam. The seat and backrest are softly upholstered in polyurethane foam and dacron. Two cylindrical cushions stuffed with down contrast with the straight lines of the sofa and form two comfortable extra armrests. The upholstery is available in a choice of fabrics and leather, with the leather version being quilted and sewn with buttons.
The sofa has a fold-out shelf in the back and round legs in satin-brushed metal. Using a patented mechanism, the back can be easily folded to form a bed. Magister is thus as functional as it is stylish and has become a real design favorite over the years.
