The Model 566 from Astep was designed in 1956 by Gino Sarfatti. The fixture consists of a balanced basic shape with the tubular body holding the characteristic Cornalux lamp. The tube is supported by a simple, clever rubber ring that provides excellent friction for infinite adjustment. The Model 556 has a base composed of an alloy of aluminum, magnesium and copper that is more durable both during and after production of the lamp. It also makes the fixture completely recyclable. The Model 566 is turned on and off with a push button in the base. We offer the lamp in black or polished aluminum.
