The name Tolomeo comes from the ancient Greek meaning powerful in battle and it is also the name of the lamp that has been a much-loved feature in many homes since the first version was designed by Michele De Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina in 1987. The Tolomeo Micro floor lamp was designed by them in 2001 and is made of aluminum and steel. The strength lies in the flexible body that can be easily adjusted to direct the light where it is needed. Tolomeo Micro is a slightly smaller version of the classic Tolomeo floor lamp. Use it as a lamp or as cozy lighting in the living room. Available with integrated LED lamp that is also dimmable. The light bulb is not available for the E14 version.
Thanks to Tolomeo's function and design, it is now available in several versions and in 1989 Tolomeo's designers were awarded the prestigious Compasso d'Oro prize.
