Tizio 35 is a table lamp but also an Italian design icon designed by Richard Sapper in 1990. The table lamp is made of aluminum and its arms and lamp head are adjustable and balanced with counterweights. Number 35 indicates that the lamp is a smaller version of the classic Tizio and that it only takes 35 Watts instead of the classic 50. The lamp head in die-cast aluminum has an internal high-efficiency reflector in anodized aluminum and a glass lens, which means that the Tizio spreads plenty of light. The lamp is therefore well suited as a reading lamp or work light. Light source not included.
Tizio is available in several sizes that come with slightly different functions such as tiltable head, rotatable head and pendulum in 360° or with integrated dimmer function. Richard Sapper has received several awards for Tizio and the lamp can be seen, among others, in the permanent collections of The Metropolitan Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
