Beat is a series of lamps designed by Tom Dixon for his own brand of the same name. Beat Waist is shaped like a cylinder with a slightly narrower waist, hence the name. The lamp is made from pieces that are hand-pressed using an intensive technique. The inside has been coated with a protective layer to protect and fix the finish. Over time, the patina will develop and give the lamp its own unique expression. The pendant is suitable for the dining table but can also be used to illuminate details above a stool or other small table.

Tom Dixon has given the Beat series an expressive minimalist design. Dixon found inspiration for the series from the sculptural simplicity of traditional Indian vessels. The Beat collection also includes a wall lamp, a table lamp and a floor lamp. Combine several similar or different lamps from the same series to create a unified lighting scheme at home.
