TAF Studio 2002
Since its inception in 2002, TAF Studio has continuously explored the boundaries between form and function. Their designs are often characterized by a clean aesthetic, where they succeed in combining classic materials with innovative solutions. An example of this is their collaboration with Muuto, where they have created iconic products that inspire both in the home and the workplace. By challenging traditional design concepts, they have developed a style that feels both timeless and modern. TAF Studio has the ability to take ordinary everyday objects and give them a new dimension. It is this ability to see the extraordinary in the ordinary that has made them one of the most influential design studios in Scandinavia. Their works are visible in both homes and public spaces, where they add a subtle yet sophisticated expression to the surroundings. In 2017, they received the Bruno Mathsson Award – one of the most prestigious design accolades in the Nordic region.
Scandinavian design tradition
TAF Studio is deeply rooted in the Scandinavian design tradition, but their work is also characterized by an openness to new influences. With roots in functionality and sustainability, they create products that stand the test of time, both in terms of style and material selection. Their collaboration with brands such as String and the latest collection, Relief, demonstrates their ability to combine aesthetics with function, where flexibility and user-friendliness are key.
Innovative collaborations
Whether it's furniture, lighting, or interior details, TAF Studio’s design is marked by a deep understanding of both materials and craftsmanship. They have engaged in creative collaborations with various players in the design world and developed products for established brands and companies. They have also created exhibitions and designs for historic institutions, such as the Nationalmuseum in Stockholm and Institut suédois in Paris.
