In collaboration with Constance Guisset, Petite Friture is launching Vertigo Nova in 2020, which is a new, updated version of the hugely popular Vertigo pendant lamp. Vertigo Nova has the same characteristic features as its predecessor with a floating shape, made of fiberglass and tensioned polyurethane bands. The compact but at the same time stable construction means that the lamp reacts to the slightest gust of wind and causes it to rotate like a mobile phone. This is the largest size measuring a full 190 cm in diameter and is seen here in a black version. A similar pendant is also available in white and in two smaller sizes.
The biggest difference between the updated Vertigo Nova and the design classic Vertigo is above all that this variant has been equipped with new, modern LED technology. The integrated light source is hidden behind a sphere of hand-blown glass that causes the ceiling lamp to spread a soft light around its surroundings. Constance Guisset's basic idea for the new Vertigo Nova was to try to shape light like an object. The aim was to transform the lamp's functional design into something beautiful where only what is essential remains. In addition to pendant lamps, the new Vertigo Nova also includes floor lamps and wall lamps. Common to the lamps in the collection is the fine balance between technology and elegance, a unique design lamp that inspires to dream away.
