Lee Broom wall lamps

Lee Broom is one of England’s leading product designers and interior designers. He designs and manufactures exclusive ceiling, wall, and table lamps and has launched more than 75 products under his own brand since 2007. Broom has also designed products for brands such as Mulberry, Christian Louboutin, and Matthew Williamson.

In addition to product design, he has also designed and decorated more than 40 commercial restaurants, bars, and private homes. Lee Broom’s products are currently sold in more than 120 stores and 40 countries worldwide.

Inspiration from the world of theater

Lee Broom began his career as a student of theater, as evidenced by his clear influences of drama and storytelling in his creative work. At seventeen, he won a design competition and set his sights on a future in the theater. The award led to a job with fashion icon Vivienne Westwood and fashion design studies at Central St Martins, and Broom still considers himself inspired by the world of fashion.

One example of Lee Broom’s exquisite taste and imagination is the critically acclaimed Clear Crystal Bulb lamp, which is designed to fit on ceilings as well as floors or walls and can be hung separately or in clusters. Inspired by crystal cutting, Crystal Bulb combines industrial influences with decorative qualities, transforming the everyday light bulb into a beautiful ornamental luminaire. Each lamp is made by hand. The tailored, patterned Carpetry Chaise Longue wool rug is indicative of Lee Broom’s playfulness. The rug looks as if it has been shaken and solidified in mid-movement and offers a natural place to rest. Lee Broom’s first furniture collection, Neo Neon, was launched in 2007 and is very popular. He combines traditional handmade and lacquered furniture with neon lighting. He has won more than 20 awards, including the prestigious British Designer of the Year Award in 2012, and in April 2015 he received the Queen’s Award for Enterprise, International Trade, the UK’s highest award for business achievement. Lee Broom opened a permanent showroom in New York for his award-winning furniture and lighting designs in December 2016.
