In 1921, Bernard-Albin Gras designed the first version of Lampe Gras, which was a table lamp, and today it is available as both wall and floor lamps. The No304 CA wall lamp is a variant of the No304 and differs in that it has an on/off switch on the cable. The round shades are available in several in assorted colors, and they are either coated with dull colors or made of polished or raw copper. The No304 is also available with a power switch located on the base.
When the first table lamp was designed, it was built for office environments but quickly became popular in private homes as well. Famous names such as Le Corbusier and Eileen Gray were early supporters of Gras' design and ergonomically designed product.
Please note that copper is a natural material and that the raw copper version is delivered without surface treatment. As it is untreated, patina will occur over time and depending on where the product is placed. The raw copper will also look different as the process progresses and the copper has a more even tarnish.
