Gervasoni's history dates back to 1882 and a small artisan workshop specialising in basketry in northern Italy. In 1925 Giovanni Gervasoni took over the family business, which has since become part of Italy's design history and established itself as a leading design house in interior and exterior design. In the 20th century, under the artistic direction of Paola Navone, it broke new ground and contributed innovative design. She produced some of the firm's most iconic collections, while the design continued to honour the firm's tradition and history. One of them is Gervasoni Ghost, a minimalist range of sofas, tables, chairs and stools with interchangeable upholstery that is easy to put on and take off.

Gervasoni's production capacity and technical expertise allow the company to stay ahead of the curve. In a perfect blend of craftsmanship and advanced industrial technology, it produces products that combine materials with creativity in a harmonious and original way. This also allows Gervasoni to offer a wide range of customised options when it comes to their products, whether it be finishes, dimensions or solutions for specific applications. All to ensure that the products can become one with any environment from homes to lounges, restaurants and hotels.

A part of Italian Design Brands S.p.A

In May 2015, Gervasoni became part of Italian Design Brands S. p.A. (IDB) The project works to create a competitive hub for high quality furniture design by combining financial resources, strategy and contacts with industrial and commercial experience.
