Gunnar Cyrén has designed the Nobel Serving Spoon for the Gense brand. The Nobel series was designed by Cyrén for the 90th anniversary of the Nobel Prize and has already become a classic. The Nobel Serving Spoon was inspired by early 19th century silverware by Charles XIV Johan. The spoon is made of stainless steel and has a lightly brushed finish on the handle and a high-gloss polished head. The cutlery is still used at the annual Nobel Prize ceremony in Stockholm. The serving spoons are machine washable.
Shaper Gunnar Cyrén is one of Sweden's most experienced designers in metal and glass. As a glass artist, silversmith and industrial designer, he has had a major impact on Danish and Swedish glass art and silversmithing. He has also been widely awarded and is represented in museums worldwide.
