Shigeru Ban designed the Yumi floor lamp for FontanaArte in 2011. The floor lamp has a round base and arched stand that extends across the room. At the end of the arch is the lightbulb consisting of 170 LED lamps. Yumi thus spreads plenty of light to the room and can illuminate large areas. The floor lamp is available in three versions, in carbon fiber with a matte black finish or in aluminum with a matte red or matte white finish.
Shigeru Ban's floor lamp is a modern interpretation of the pure form of the bow, and its name comes from the Japanese word for bow, Yumi.
