CH53 is a classically simple and functional footstool from Carl Hansen & Søn in true Hans J. Wegner style. The footstool bears a clear resemblance to the designer's many other pieces for the brand and has roots in the American Shaker movement. Here, you can purchase the CH53 footstool with a height of 39 or 43 centimeters. The lower version is also adapted to work in a set together with the CH44 armchair.
Here you see Carl Hansen's CH53 in solid beech, upholstered with a seat in natural braided paper cord. Like many of Wegner's other works, the iconic envelope weaving has been used here as well. The solid wood is also available in several different finishes, such as black lacquer, oil, and soap. In our online store, you can also find variations in oak as well as with a black seat.
