The CH26 is a classic dining chair from Carl Hansen & Søn, making it immediately clear that Hans J. Wegner is the designer. The armchair was designed in 1950 in an attempt to translate the form of the CH22 armchair into a dining chair. However, no prototype was ever made for the chair, and it would take until 2016 for Carl Hansen & Søn to launch the CH26 dining chair alongside its sibling, the CH22.
Here, we showcase the chair in solid oak with a woven seat of natural-colored paper cord. You can customize the CH26 dining chair to better suit your home by choosing a finish in either white oiled, soaped, clear lacquered, oiled, or black lacquered oak. It is also possible to get the chair in walnut or with a black seat.
