The CH58 Low Stool is Hans J. Wegner's lower bar stool, designed in 1985 for the prestigious brand Carl Hansen & Søn. The bar stool was designed to be equally useful and suitable in home environments as well as in public spaces. In line with several of his other pieces, the CH56 bar stool also carries a straightforward design language and a frugal mix of materials, constructed with thoughtful design and solid craftsmanship. A beautiful detail is how the legs gracefully taper before meeting both the seat and the floor, creating an elegant expression. For maximum durability, the footrest is anchored in the thickest part of the legs.

This variant of the CH58 Low Stool comes with legs made of solid walnut and a footring in stainless steel. This is then combined with a round padded seat in one of Carl Hansen & Søn's exclusive leathers, with a wide palette of colors to choose from. The design language is identical to the taller bar stool, CH56 High Stool. The difference lies in the height of the bar stools, where this one is best suited for, for example, a kitchen island, while the taller one works well with a bar counter or a bar table. Always remember to measure before buying a bar stool, as there should be approximately 25-30 centimeters between the seat and the tabletop for optimal comfort.
