Nesso is a table lamp designed in 1967 by Giancarlo Mattioli and Gruppo Architetti Urbanisti Città Nuova for Artemide. The lamp has a playful design with rounded shapes and clean lines. Both lamp base and shade are made of molded ABS plastic with resin. Nessino is available in two glossy colours, white and orange, both of which emit a dull, warm light which is suitable as reading or spot lighting in, for example, the living room. Nesso can also be used as a wall lamp. Light source not included.
Nesso is exhibited at New York's Museum of Modern Art, MoMA, among others. A successor to Nesso was designed in 2003, Nessino, which is a slightly smaller version of the classic.
