The Trienna coffee table was created by Ilmari Tapiovaara in 1954 for the Finnish furniture manufacturer Artek. It was not until 2007 that the table went into production, and it is as modern as it was on the sketch pad, which also resulted in Trienna being awarded the "best published table" prize in The Wallpaper Magazine in 2008. When Tapiovaara designed the table, he had in mind a coffee table that was light and easy to move around. Another basic idea of Trienna was to create larger groups in a "honeycomb" pattern by using several tables.
The Trienna coffee table is made of veneered molded beech and is available in white lacquered, black stained or clear lacquered beech veneer, or clear lacquered oak veneer or walnut veneer. Trienna is perfect as a coffee table, as well as a side table in the living room, bedroom, or hallway.
