Kanto is a newspaper and wood rack designed by Pancho Nikander for Artek in 2004. The stand is made of molded plywood covered with birch veneer and has a handle for easy movement. The rectangular storage space is designed to be filled with magazines or firewood but makes a great interior accent on its own. Although Kanto was created long after Artek's inception, the style follows that of Alvar Aalto's early 1930s design.
