The striking and stylish Kaari REB 005 desk was created by Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec in 2015 for Finnish furniture manufacturer Artek. The stylish collection called Kaari was created by the Bouroullec brothers and was presented for the first time at the Stockholm Furniture Fair in 2015. Just as Alvar Aaalto's furniture is characterized by L-shaped legs, Ronan and Erwan's tables also have a unique system of leg support, consisting of vertically bent wood and shaped steel. It became apparent during the design process that the legs could also support weight-bearing objects such as shelves and brackets. The series from which it was created, Kaari, has an attractive silhouette created by the wing-shaped frame structure. Kaari combines Artek's traditional choice of materials with a new and updated design.

Kaari Desk REB 005 consists of a frame in powder-coated steel and ABS. The legs offer a choice of natural oak or black oak. As well as for the top, different finishes are available. Choose between black HPL or black linoleum. HPL stands for High Pressure Laminate and means that the board has a core made of plywood and is pressure laminated for a durable surface. Linoleum is also a chemical material which, thanks to its good properties, has a wide variety of uses because it is exceptionally durable, heat-insulating and sound-absorbing.
