Rift Small Armchair is from the Italian brand Moroso. Behind the design is Patricia Urquiola, who named the chair after the geological term for cracks. Unlike modular systems based on rational geometry, Rift is made up of an asymmetrical positioning of different volumes and a deliberate randomness inspired by the unpredictability of nature. The seat is made up of different layers, like tectonic plates, which interlock to create a comfortable sitting experience. The chair also comes in a larger size and can be used in a variety of designs.
