The Grace armchair from Källemo is designed by Mats Theselius. In the summer of 2023, the then 100-year-old Högalidskyrkan in Stockholm underwent extensive renovation, and Mats Theselius was asked if he wanted to create something from the roof sheet metal that needed to be replaced. The result was an armchair where all design elements and material choices are inspired by 20th-century Swedish neoclassicism, the style usually referred to as “Swedish Grace”.

Grace has a frame wrapped in distressed copper plates from Högalidskyrkan in Stockholm, bronze legs, nubuck upholstery from Tärnsjö, Sweden, and a plaque in the shape of the church's silhouette cast in pewter at the back. The buttons on the armchair's back have embroidery inspired by the crosses found in the spires of Högalidskyrkan. “The name Grace is of course related to Swedish Grace, but is a name rich in associations. Directly translated from English, grace means either elegance or grace” — Mats Theselius

Grace is produced in a numbered edition of 223 pieces. The armchair is sold in our stores and exclusively online with us.
