Four-legged icons in the creative landscape
We met Vincent the Weimaraner and Willy the Afghan Hound, who had the opportunity to try out their own dog beds – carefully designed with comfort and aesthetics in mind. In an exclusive collaboration between DUX and NO GA, a unique collection of dog beds is now being launched.
The dog beds come in two sizes and are the result of a close collaboration, where DUX’s innovative spring system merges with Nordiska Galleriet’s timeless aesthetics. The checkered pattern is inspired by the original 1912 flooring in Nordiska Galleriet’s flagship store on Nybrogatan in Stockholm.
Andreas Martin-Löf & Vincent
We step into the bright Stockholm apartment on Norr Mälarstrand that belongs to architect, lamp maker, and now also yacht designer, Andreas Martin-Löf. The Weimaraner Vincent greets us with curiosity in his eyes—an intelligent dog with lots of energy and a big personality.
Tell us about Vincent's personality
"Vincent is a curious dog with lots of energy, but he’s also quite lazy," says Andreas. "He rests when I work and works when I rest, haha."
The choice of a Weimaraner probably has something to do with William Wegman’s dog photos.
It’s clear that Andreas' creative drive permeates everything he does, and that Vincent has naturally become a part of the journey. When we ask why he chose a Weimaraner, Andreas mentions the artist William Wegman and his iconic images of the breed.

How do you spend your days together?
– Weimaraners are very intelligent and have a lot of personality, so we have fun together. Most of the time, we’re at home, and sometimes at our country house in Värmdö.
But it's not only in the outdoors where Vincent has found a favorite spot. The new dog bed from DUX has gradually become a cherished part of his daily routine.
What does Vincent think of his new dog bed?
"He’s slowly learning to like it," says Andreas. "Dogs are very tuned in to smells, so I think once he gets a little more settled in, it will feel more like his own. But he clearly likes it already."
Nathali, Nathaniel & Willy
In another corner of Sweden, Willy the Afghan hound lives with Nathaniel Asseraf, Nathali Winberg and their one-year-old daughter Paloma in Gothenburg. Nathaniel runs the fashion label Casatlantic and Nathali works as a Visual Merchandiser at the Nordiska Galleriet showroom in Gothenburg.
Willy is described as an affectionate and independent dog. "He’s intelligent and has high integrity," says Nathali. "He’s also very loving, calm, and gentle."
Nathaniel's father had two Afghan hounds in the 70s, hence the race was mentioned when we were discussing different dog breeds.
When they got Willy, it was a well-considered process, and the breed became a natural choice.
– We had wanted a dog for a long time. Nathaniel's father had two Afghan hounds in the 70s, hence the race was mentioned when we were discussing different dog breeds.
Willy not only has a strong personality, but he also has an extensive grooming routine. "Yes, it’s quite elaborate," laughs Nathali.
– He gets shampooed and rinsed twice. After that, we apply conditioner, which is left on for a while before being rinsed again. Then he’s towel-dried to absorb all the water, and afterwards, he’s blow-dried and brushed until his coat is dry and tangle-free. This procedure takes a couple of hours and is repeated every two to three weeks.
What does Willy think of his new dog bed?
– He loves it!

NO GA launch three tables by legendary modernist Paul T. Frankl
Paul T. Frankl (1886–1958) designed a series of sofa tables for the Michigan-based Johnson Furniture Company in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The low, biomorphic-shaped tables were sold as “cocktail tables,” a modernized version of the conventional coffee table. Now three of them - Amoeba, Big foot and Plectrum - are being launched by NO GA in close collaboration with the Paul T. Frankl Estate.
