The meeting place for modern design
We are chasing the dream of creating more than one store. International design is at the heart of everything we do. With furniture, lighting, details and art, we try to curate an inspiring experience in our store and create conversations around modern design.
In our showroom you will find exhibitions with furniture and lighting from Italian brands such as Cassina, B&B Italia and Flexform, and from Scandinavian brands such as Artek, Carl Hansen, Fritz Hansen, Vitra and NO GA.

New history takes shape
Nordiska Galleriet, founded in 1912 by farmer Anders Andersson on Nybrogatan, began as an auction hall for antique furniture. Carl-Otto Heigard, Andersson's nephew, took over in 1929 and transformed it into an art gallery and furniture store, named Nordiska Galleriet. During the 1940s and 50s, Carl-Magnus Heigard, Carl-Otto's son, introduced Danish design and modern exhibitions. The company went through several changes and renovations, keeping the focus on high quality design and brands, and was sold within the family and to external buyers. Axel Söderberg acquired it in 2016, ushering in a new era of modernization, and continues to attract renowned designers and raise the bar to create a world-leading design store.

Our history began in 1912 when the house on Nybrogatan was built. The house that is still our home today. Under the name Nordiska Galleriet, the store took shape, which over time became an internationally recognized institution in the world of design.
