Living Divani swivel armchairs

Family business Living Divani was established in Brianza, Italy, in 1980. The brand produces stylish furniture and quickly made a name for itself in the Italian market. Piero Lissoni became the lead designer and artistic director of the brand in 1988.

Over the years, Living Divani developed its range and began producing sofas, beds, chairs, and outdoor furniture. Lissoni developed a design concept that combines elegant lines and shapes with ergonomics and comfort. Living Divani is unique in its ability to surprise with bold and unconventional choices of shapes and materials.

Unconventional classics

Living Divani is internationally acclaimed and has received numerous awards, such as the Excellence of Lombardy Design award in 2016. The FJU desk, designed by the Kaschkasch design duo, was one of the pieces in the brand’s range cited as a trendsetter when Living Divani received the award. Living Divani has initiated collaboration with several international designers such as Arik Levy, Junya Ishigami, Matthias Hickl, mist-o, Shiro Kuramata and Victor Vasilev. Long-standing collaboration with lead designer Piero Lissoni puts its own special stamp on the product, resulting, for example, in the Extrasoft sofa, now considered one of Living Divani’s great design classics. With its construction and high quality materials, Extrasoft lives up to its name and provides long-lasting comfort. The modular structure also makes the sofa flexible, and it can be individually adjusted. Another more unconventional furniture icon is the Ile Bubble Rock, a five-piece sofa with an asymmetrical shape and rounded corners.

Sofas occupy a large part of the product range, and in the early 2000s the range was expanded to include furniture such as chairs, tables, and lounge chairs. The common thread running through all Living Divani products is the desire for unconventional solutions and furniture made from high-quality, durable materials. Among Living Divani’s iconic designer furniture you will find the Extra Wall and Ile sofas, the Fold and Sdraio chairs, the Extra Wall Bed, the Avalon Bed and the Cabrio, Cafè and Nut outdoor furniture.

In recent years, Living Divani has moved towards a more discreet and stripped-down design that is more in line with today’s minimalist preferences. The headquarters of the brand can be found in Anzano del Parco in the province of Como.
