Stemlite 42 cm - Table lamp was designed by Bill Curry in 1962 for the Danish brand Gubi. The lamp has a tulip-like base made of cast metal and a top of mouth-blown glass. The lamp has a cylindrical on/off switch. Stemlite 42 cm - Table lamp is part of the Stemlite collection which also includes a taller table lamp, two floor lamps and a pendant light, all with the same modern and authentic color palette. The different lamps in the collection are beautiful to combine with each other and fit well in both residential and commercial spaces.
The organic, subtle shape of the Stemlite 42 cm - Table Lamp complements both modern and traditional surfaces. Originally used by street lighting companies in Los Angeles, the frosted glass globe gives off a gentle, atmospheric glow. Perfect diffused, ambient light to add to other lighting. Stemlite was Bill Curry's design debut and was named "Most Influential Lamp of the Year" by Industrial Design Magazine in 1965. The lamp was used in the original Star Trek series and continued in production until 1977. After almost half a century, Gubi has now relaunched Stemlite.
