MR01 Initial Chair is an armchair designed by Mathias Rasmussen for Gubi in 2021. The chair has a frame with a distinctive silhouette made of solid oak or walnut. Whether you choose oak or walnut, the surface is oiled, giving the wood a pleasant and tactile feel. The seat and backrest are made of flagline, which gives the chair an equally airy and comfortable feel. The MR01 Initial Chair looks great in a group or on its own and can be combined with many types of sofas and styles.

Although MR01 Initial Chair has a contemporary and modern design, it recalls Danish design classics such as The Hunting Chair by Børge Mogensen from 1950 and PK25 designed by Poul Kjaerholm in 1951.
